Perry Marshall - The Definitive Guide to Google Adwords

The Definitive Guide to Google Adwords (Digital basic $49, Expanded with audio CD's $97/ Deluxe with teleconference and coaching $197) This link goes to the sellers description and order page. It opens in a new window.

This is the least expensive of Perry Marshall's products, the most down to earth written, and by far the most popular.

I own this package, and it is among my most prized. There are dozens of other customers of this product who call Marshall "genius" and love his advice. It is not without plenty of peer support either. In fact I have yet to find a negative comment from anyone or a single account of a return.

It is a 205 pg PDF file (up from the 113 pg previous edition) that has been highly acclaimed by several other Internet Marketing Experts.

While Google Adwords were at one time a very easy way to get quick, cheap targeted traffic, it's success has rendered it a bit saturated. In other words, the competition pays more and more for the good keywords, leaving it just too expensive for those with less resources.

To counteract the increasing prices Perry Marshall has developed methods to get smarter and smarter about finding good keywords and using them to target your traffic.

He also helps you learn how to use Google adwords as a testing medium, since you can easily test different ads quickly and cheaply.

Perry Marshall provides good methods for calculating results and worksheets for doing just that. The book is filled with screen shots showing you exactly how Marshall is proposing you improve your campaigns.

PPC (Pay Per Click) is all the rage in current Internet Marketing courses, and Perry Marshall is a bit ahead of the game by developing a product specifically geared to making it work.

The valuable lessons to learn here are in first in how to conduct good keyword analysis (and find keywords you would never have thought of on your own) and second in how to spend a fraction of your campaign on small-scale testing before launching an all-out campaign.

Perry Marshall will walk you through the setting up of a campaign, and show you where the tools are to find good keywords (such as Wordtracker and NicheBOT). Then he'll show you how to design a direct-marketing campaign around those keywords. It's all about supply and demand. This is called keyword farming.

You'll also learn how to eliminate false hits that can cost you big money.

He'll talk a great deal about writing good ad copy and little tricks that skyrocket your click-through rates. I've doublem my CTR's since using his teachings.

The only downside is not really a downside at all. It is that this will take some thought and time on your part. It's not just something you read and implement in a day. It takes practice and testing.

This is not for the casual webmaster. It's for the serious person who is ready to really analyze the market and try to apply a data-driven approach to maximum profit.

It's also not just for Webmasters. You can sell affiliate products directly through Google Adwords. I have about a dozen ads running right now for affiliate products, and I see regular purchases made through them. Thank you Perry Marshall.

If you are at a point where you need to optimize your Google adword results, this is the only real course I've found so far that specializes on just that subject. (top)

Google Adwords

Why Google and not Yahoo?

Perry Marshall explains that Yahoo's system is designed to suck your money while Google Adwords campaigns can be run much more economically.
