WYSIWYG
stands for "What You See Is What You Get" and a
WYSIWYG HTML editor is one that allows you to design an HTML
page in precisely the way it will look on screen.
The
premise of this product is that it is a simple, basic HTML
editor that doesn't have all the complexities of FrontPage
or Dreamweaver to learn. It is a simple, basic HTML editor
in simplest form.
I've
promised to be totally up front and honest in my reviews -
and here's a prime example. While I like and respect Mark
Hendricks, I cannot recommend this product at this price.
You
see, basic WYSIWYG HEML editors are already available, totally
free.
There
are a number of them. There is
NVU
Mozilla Composer
Trellian
Web Page
Amaya
Netscape
Composer
All of these are FREE WYSIWYG HTML authoring
packages. There is no need to pay nearly $100 for it.
Of course there is nice-looking array of bonuses
- but be careful. All of them are either available free or
there are good free alternatives. The only possible exception
might be Easy Audio Pro, but there are low cost alternatives.
So if you want to have this package, go ahead.
I have nothing against it per se. It is a fine editor and
a fine set of bonuses. I have no criticisms of the product
itself. But if you just don't have the extra money to throw
around, save it and get one of the free options above.
