Overview:
John
Reese has a huge business, a devout following, and . . . some
controversy. I'll give you the low-down on all of this here.
Reese
certainly practices what he preaches. He has demonstrated
his ability to make over $1 Million in a single day. He shows
his statistics of one side Google Adsense-based business he
started that makes around $2,000 a day.
He
is an impressive marketer.
There
have been some who suggested that John Reese is the undercover
man behind the Rich Jerk with Kelly Felix as a front- man.
I've corresponded with Mr. Reese about it, and I'm here to
say that this is a decidely false rumor.

Positive:
Reese is very compelling.
As I mentioned above, his own showing is very impressive.
He is very down-to-earth in his appproach, and makes it clear
that your business ventures are grown, with a lot of hard
work and sweat.
He
is a devout devotee to testing and scientific marketing, which
speaks well of him. He doesn't tell you that you can make
millions without doing any work - and he is quick to tell
you that he spends hours doing his own business. I always
admire that approach, because it is realistic.
John
Reese's videos are easy to follow and detailed. They have
information both for the beginner and for the professional,
with a little more emphasis on the beginner.
As
far as content I'd compare him a little bit with Perry Marshall.
He likes Google adwords, testing, and content building. He
also emphasizes building a network of sites, both minisites
and large multi-page sites - similar in focus to Phil Wiley's
methods - but in some ways quite opposite. While Phil Wiley
concentrates on a lot of small minisites, John Reese likes
a mixture of both many minisites and large megasites.(top)
Negative:
Now
for the controversy. John Reese has taken a lot of criticism
for the price of his Traffic Secrets program. It is almost
$1000.
Now
this is a physical product and it is not small, so you would
not expect a small price, but the question is whether it is
worth it or not for what you get. Those who say no have commented
on how slow he is to get to the point.
I've
witnessed this in one of his reese report videos. It's a 25
minute video and almost the entire thing is him going almost
line-by-line showing you how much money it made each day "now
here you see it made about $2,000 for these four days, then
it jumped up to about $4,000 for a few days, then dropped
back down a few days, then it did this little turn and averaged
so much for these days and up and down it goes. Down here
you see it . . ." This for almost 25 minutes.
I
found myself understanding why some people comment about mumbling
under their breath "get to the point!".
So
is this a negative? Some say it is and some say it is not.
Those who love Reese say that it is precisely his step-by-step
slow approach that helps even the beginner follow him.

Program
Reese has an affiliate program,
but it is not automatic that you will be accepted. You apply,
your application is reviewed, and you may or may not be accepted.
I've
found forum posts by those who were not accepted. Believe
me, it is not easy and automatic. You must show that you have
potential and a plan. (top)

John
Reese has hundreds of Web sites, so I can't speak for all
of them, but I have not gotten any popups coming up from his
main Traffic Secrets product site. (top)
