Overview:
Mark
Hendricks is a quiet marketer in some respects. There are
no riveting stories of interesting facts about his life floating
around the Web.
But
don't let it fool you, Hendricks is an aggressive marketer
and there is plenty to learn from him. His real forte seems
to be email marketing. Get on his list and you're in for a
daily short announcement-style sales letter. He is an expert
at writing each and every announcement as though it was special.
Very few marketers seem to have that knack. His style reminds
me a little of David Vallaries, a similar daily letter writer.
Positive:
Hendricks
is an ethical marketer and stands behind his promises.
Although he is a very busy man, he does respond to support
questions and will take care of your requests for help in
relatively short order.
I
have no trouble recommending Mark's advice and especially
recommending his traffic-building and email marketing experience.
He really does care about his getting the best information
he can to his customers without holding back.

Negative:
As I alluded to in the "positive"
section above, Mark Hendricks is a busy man, and although
he does respond and answer support questions, he doesn't seem
particularly personable in his return email. For example,
when I had some trouble getting one of is products I had purchased
I wrote to him asking for a download link and explained about
my Website at pickaguru and the upcoming review. I had hoped
for some interest in the review and find most marketers roll
out the red carpet when they see Pickaguru. Hendricks response
was more like "ok, here's your link . . ."
Not
that I expect special treatment - that's not the point. The
point is that ALL customers like to feel they are special
when they seek support. If there was little interest in such
an important profile such as these reviews, how much interest
would a customer feel who was just buying a single product.
Don't
get me wrong. He wasn't outright cold - just obviously busy
and could use an assistant who could spend the extra time
really writing up the support emails with a longer personal
tone - "Thank you for your purchase. I've sorry to hear
that you had trouble downloading our product ... ... please
feel free to write any time with questions help on any or
our products . . ."
Also,
watch out for some of Hendricks pricing and what you get for
it. I highly recommend his big courses such as the ISS system,
but to pay $97 for a basic HTML editor similar to many free
ones seems a little much.

Affiliate
Program
Mike Hendricks has two affiliate
programs. One through his main site at hunteridge.com and
the other through market-soft.com. Both operate through clickbank
so you'll need a Clickbank ID.

Site
Popups
I didn't run across any pesky pop-ups on Mark's sites, although
he did use an interesting twist. Rather than a fly-in note
that obscures the page text, there was one already on the
site , partway down the page when it loaded. You had to close
it like any other fly-in, but at least it didn't wait for
you to start reading and then fly in under your nose. Very
clever, and I liked it. I think I'll use that on another site
myself. (top)
Valuable
Free Content
There
is little really good free content on Mark's site - at least
that I could easily find. However, if you poke around you
can find some full-text out-of-print books like "Scientific
Advertising" by Claude Hopkins, "Acres of Diamonds"
and "As Man Thinketh"

Newsletter
Site-Sell
Ezine
Marks newsletter has several sign-up
options, most associated with free reports or mini-courses.
It is a daily - or near-daily announcement-style list and
Mark does an excellent job making each one sound like a special
deal you really can't pass up. He is an expert copy-writer
with a touch few marketers have. It is worth the subscription
to me just to study how he does it. (top)
Money-Back
Guarantee
Mark guarantees all his products and
you will have no trouble with returns. Most of his products
are sold through Clickbank and you have the additional Clickbank
60-day return backing. The ISS system is sold through Paypal,
and he had a 30-day no-questions-asked return guarantee on
it.

Support
I've talked a little about support in
the sections above. I'll repeat some if it here in case you
came directly to this category.
Make
Hendricks does indeed do well at answering support questions.
He does so in a timely manner as well - even on weekends from
my own experience.
However,
don't expect a lengthy personal message. I always got the
help I needed and it was friendly enough, but no fluff and
no extra "thank you and please write again" kind
of extra warm fuzzies. But please know that support is available
and you will get satisfaction. (top)
