This
software product is a script you'll install on your web server
that will protect products sold via clickbank or paypal.
The
idea here is that there are mainly three ways people can gain
uninvited access to your download page for your digital product.
- Find
the download page by trial and error
- A
former customer gives out an access code
- Search
engines and spiders inadvertently index the download page
or product.
These
can be averted with this software. In fact, if a paying customer
"returns" the product, you have the control to turn
off their access. To secure against any of these types of
theft, this program works, and I highly recommend it if you
plan to sell through paypal or clickbank.
However,
This product does not protect from a person re-distributing
a product they already downloaded. There is another method
for avoiding that, but it has it pitfalls. For a review of

With
products like ebook Pro, the trouble is that the purchaser
must be connected to the Internet to even read his ebook.
So much for reading it on a laptop on a plane or coffee shop
with no Internet access.
You'll
simply have to decide what level of security you want. To
me it makes sense to use Easy-Download Protector to control
unauthorized downloads, but not go so far as using ebook Pro
and limiting the customer too much. It's a good compromise.
The
day I begin selling my own electronic products rather than
just reviewing those of others, I'll purchase and use Easy-Download
Protector. I do recommend it. If you're not selling an eproduct
now or do not wish to use those two payment systems, don't
bother, you'll be wasting your money.
