Most
of Michael Green's products are on rather narrow topics. It
I had to choose one that was most like a single comprehensive
course similar to those of other gurus, it would have to be
this one.
Green
says in his ad copy that this course is a mirror of how he
started and runs his own business, and if you're familiar
with his techniques you can definitely see the parallel with
his Table of Contents (Find
the TOC here).
I am pleased that the ad copy says up front that doing this
is a lot of hard work. It's refreshing to hear that being
said honestly. Folks, there simply are no shortcuts to putting
in hard work if you're going to be successful. Copying all
the templates and ready-made ads in the world will not make
you rich.
Green's
emphasis on staying on task is well stated. Most failures
in the business come from people chasing after one idea, then
switching to another, and another. It's time to just stop
and head in one direction.
I
do not like Michael Green's insistence on using pop-ups. Yes,
they work and yes they increase profits. I still will not
use them. If I have to annoy other people for my own gain,
it is not well-deserved gain and I won't feel good about myself
in the morning.
I
also do NOT like his emphasis on using time and date scripting
to say things like "Only if you order by today - <insert
current date here> can you receive this special offer.
Then if you return tomorrow you'll see the same script with
the new date. That is an outright lie, and I will not use
it nor condone it.
In
general, this product is great, and I recommend it as a first
course along side Rudl's and Ken Evoy's courses. However,
you should choose one and stick with it until you've developed
your plan from it, then move on later to someone else's to
add this or that idea to improve. You can't follow everybody
at once. If you choose to start by following Michael Green,
then this is the first product I recommend you start with.
