ads differ from regular pop-ups in that they are written into
the HTML code itself, so pop-up blockers can't block them
as easily.
I
must be very careful here, because I really hate popups and
hover ads. If you do wish to use them, do it carefully and
tactfully. As Rudl himself pointed out on the Hover Ad Creator
page, people are passionate about this subject. I'm on of
them.
He
also rightly points out that people who use them increase
their bottom line. He adds this incredibly important note:
-

" IMPORTANT NOTE: Never, never, never make a final marketing
decision without comparing your profits, traffic, AND conversion
rates. All THREE are critical figures."
- - - - - End Quote - - - - -
But
take a look at my Web site here at Phenomenix. You don't see
any hover ads here. I am not a fan. In my opinion, just because
something works, doesn't make it an endorsement. My ethics
are more important to me than my bottom line. Period!
And
again, as usual shop around. There are alternatives from free
to $10 or so. I'll try to generate a list of alternative software
here when I get a chance - but likely this will be one of
the last ones I work on. I'd like to get to the biggies first,
like autoresponders and such.
