No. I do purchase them as fast as I can, but frankly one could
spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on all of them easily.

How can you give a fair review without trying the products?
(Be prepared for a long answer)
I am a researcher, and I'm very good at it. First I read the
author's sales pitch, and scrutinize it for very subtle hints
(of things left out or deceptive implications, that sound
like promises).
Then I research their
supposed "proofs" and research their references
and sources. Where possible, I look into the credibility of
some of their "success stories." Then I crawl around
the Web, newsgroups, forums, and discussions, for real consumer
opinions. I check the Better Business Bureau, I read other
independent reviewers. I write to them and "test"
their support system. I look for complaints about returns,
poor service and other customer relations issues.
For guru's I read comments
and opinions by competitors. For products, I read the specs
and the specs of the competition to see what's missing or
could be done better.
I look at website registration
details. I get on their email lists and analyze their content
and sales pitch. I sign up for their freebies and analyze
their tactics first hand. I use search engines to look for
reviews, complaints and experiences with each of their products,
one by one.
I may spend a week, a
month or more on a single product or person. I don't claim
to know something anyone else can't find out, but few people
have the time to do all this, so I do it for them. I do the
research everyone ought to do before purchasing a marketer's
products. This site is for the busy person who just wants
to get started and doesn't have years to research every marketer
and product on their own. (top)

Do you sell any products of your own?
Not on this site. I do have products on other sites. If you're

Do you use affiliates?
Yes. I have to, in order to make my time worthwhile. But I
REFUSE to compromise my reviews for money's sake. For example,
I feature Allan Gardyne third from the top and even give him good reviews,
but he doesn't even HAVE an affiliate program. I can’t
possible profit from him. On the other hand, some of Corey
Rudl's products could make me great money, but I don't
recommend them all (I do recommend some of them - read the
reviews).
If the time I've put
into this is valuable to you, I encourage you to use my links.
It will help me keep providing you with this material, and
doesn't cost you an extra dime. It's win-win. (top)

Do you have your own affiliate program?
No. At this point I have nothing to sell. A few of the programs
have two-level affiliate programs and you're welcome to help
support me in that way if you wish, but please don't do so
unless you feel the product deserves promotion, or you're
willing to be honest about it to your customers. (top)

Hey, haven't I seen this stuff somewhere before?
It's quite possible you
may have seen this information at phenomenix.com. The pilot
for this site was originally developed there. Once the domain
pickaguru was secured we began moving
it all over here. Phenomenix will
eventually be used for other endeavors. One possibility might
be a purely commercial site, where I would be able to market
products outside of this platform. (top)
