In
one of the Site build It forums there was a gentleman who
simply didn't know what his expertise was. He wanted to develop
a site and profit from it, but he said he really didn't have
any area of special knowledge.
He
said all he knew about was general information about computers
and, since he was a mailman, mailboxes.
The
forum members were all over him - MAILBOXES! They suddenly
had a thousand questions? Where can they get cool decorative
mailboxes? Can he give some ideas from his experiences on
cool ways to mount them, in walls, shrubbery, etc. What lessons
can he give them about security? What kind of security devices
are available? The forum went wild for more information.
I
hope he got the hint.
You
too know all about something? What do you do for a job, a
hobby, your family, your church? Where do you like to vacation?
You have some area of special knowledge - stop holding out
on us and learn how to share it - For Profit!
This
ebook is all about writing your information product. It guides
you through getting your information in a good format to sell,
and how and where to sell it. It talks about security of your
product.
The
down side? I think Evoy could have given a little more information
and options in types of ebooks and software to use. He is
sold on PDF files, but they aren't really that secure. There
are other options out there that you may want to use, depending
on your market. You may want to read my review of Derek Gehl's
Ebook Pro for a more thorough review of the options, along
with their upsides and downsides.
If
you publish to a high-hacker community, say computer games
for teens, for example, you might want to use a higher protection
format than pdf files.
The
main book is a 337-page pdf unit on these subjects.
Included
are some additional pdf files:
1.
186 Places to Promote and Sell Your Information Product
Online (110 pages)
2.
120 New Places to Promote and Sell Your Information
Product Online (66 pages)
3.
The MYKS Automation Manual. How to automate order
processing and delivery (42 pages)
4.

Ebook on the Web using Free and nearly Free Programs.
(420 pages)
5.
The Online InfoSellers Jumpstart Kit (84
pages)
6.
Special Report on Buying and Selling Reprint Rights
(59 pages)
7.
A Table of Contents and Index
That's
quite a package.
Here
are the main headings in the TOC for the main book:
1.
How to Use MYKS
2.
Getting Started with MYKS
3.
Pulling Profitable Ideas ... From Thin Air.
4.
How to Package your Pearls
5.

6.

7.

8.
One on One with Monique
The
price is almost twice his big marketing course make Your Site
Sell, but the profit potential is incredible. If you are even
thinking of writing your own ebook (and you should) then I
recommend this package. But please do not stop with Evoy's
information. Spend a little time learning about other software
options as well.
This
is a good starting place if writing a new information product
appeals to you. The exercise will not only make you money
in itself, but will also draw attention to your site, where
other products can be offered. So in a sense, this is not
only for immediate profit, but a traffic driver as well. You
should consider writing if you can find the time.
